Disease Simulation

To provide a theoretical foundation to field studies, several research groups have been developing computer-based simulation models that simulate different aspects of late blight epidemics. (See More)

New version of LATEBLIGHT. The International Potato Center (CIP), Cornell University (USA) and the Volcani Center (Israel) joined forces to improve LATEBLIGHT, a simulation model that was developed at Cornell University in the 1980s. As result, a new version of this model is available.

POLUX, a user-friendly version of LATEBLIGHT. CIP, with the feedback of many scientists from several institutions of Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, has developed POLUX, a user-friendly version of LATEBLIGHT. The program and experimental data to run it are available.

Uses of disease simulation.  A very general discussion of late blight simulation and its uses - includes a comparison of simulation and forecasting.
