POLUX, a user-friendly version of LATEBLIGHT

The most recent version of LATEBLIGHT is written in SAS® language and, therefore, needs this software, which is generally inaccessible to users in less-developed countries. CIP has created POLUX, a free-access, easy-to-use version of LATEBLIGHT,  to overcome this limitation.

The purposes of POLUX are to (i) facilitate learning of epidemiological concepts needed to optimize late blight management; (ii) develop and test experimental hypotheses; and (iii) serve as a platform to store and systematize experimental data.

Data of an experiment carried out in Peru in 1999 is released with POLUX. New simulations can be obtained by downloading experimental data from this site (see below). In turn, new experimental data can be shared with other scientists by uploading them here (see the User's Manual for instructions).
