GILB is very pleased to present its first Annual Report. Although the Global Initiative on Late Blight began officially in 1996, this is the first such report we have published on activities to date. In order not to lose the significance and continuity of the earlier work, we have decided to include the first 4 years of GILB activities in this first "annual" report. Subsequently, we expect this report to be published yearly. All comments or suggestions regarding this report are welcome and may be directed to gilb(at)cgiar.org
