The Global Initiative on Late Blight (GILB) is very pleased to present its fifth Annual Report, now in a new abbreviated format. Considerable effort was invested in transferring the GILB website to the PHP-Nuke Content Management System. This system has the advantage of being interactive—a big plus for the GILB global network. The site has been reorganized and enriched with the aim of becoming the umbrella site for information on late blight throughout the world. The GILB network was presented at the APS (American Phytopathological Society) 2003 Annual Meeting, and during 2004 it will be presented in the World Potato Conference, the ALAP (Latin American Potato Association) Conference and the African Potato Association Triennial Conference, contributing to the goal of increasing communication and collaboration to solve the late blight problem
